ADMISSIONS POLICIES
Age Requirements
Preschool students must be three or four years old on or before September 1st. In order to be eligible to enroll in first grade, students must be six years old on or
before September 1st.
Three-year-old students must be potty trained.
General Requirements
Parents are required to read, agree, initial, and support the school’s doctrinal and philosophy statements demonstrating their support of Christian education. The student needs to reflect a sincere desire to work and learn, and be willing to accept the Nacogdoches Christian Academy philosophy.
A student’s acceptance at any grade level is determined by entrance testing results, principal and teacher recommendation forms, and interview data.
No student shall be admitted who:
• Has a history of emotional or disciplinary problems, or
• Has a severe learning difference for which our program is not staffed.
Admission policy checklist is as follows:
1. The initial contact is made and the application materials are received.
2. The following documents are completed and returned:
____ Application for admission (1 per child)
____ $100 registration fee
____ Copy of recent report card
____ Copy of standardized test scores
____ Copy of immunization records
____Signed healthcare professional statement
____ Tuberculosis test information, if applicable
3. Sign records release from former school.
4. Sign Permission to Contact Letter allowing to
contact former school.
5. Students entering First through Eighth Grade will
be tested. A $50 fee will be assessed.
After steps 1-5 have been completed, the application is referred to the Admissions Committee for a final decision. Families will be notified as soon as possible regarding the committee’s decision.
